The external factors include government support, market conditions, and access to technology and information. The study also revealed a significant relationship between the socio-economic characteristics of farmers, production costs, and income earned.

The results of the study suggest that the development of vanname shrimp cultivation in Bogak Besar Village requires attention to the right strategy and support to overcome various influencing factors. The study recommends an aggressive growth policy or growth-oriented strategy, which is in quadrant I in SWOT analysis. This shows the need to focus on increasing production and business efficiency in order to compete in the market. Therefore, training and counseling to improve managerial and technical skills of farmers are very important.

The analysis also revealed a significant relationship between the socio-economic characteristics of farmers, production costs, and income earned. However, characteristics such as age, education, number of dependents, length of farm businesses, and the area of ​​ponds do not show significant relationships with income. This can be an indicator that these aspects, although important, are not a major determinant in increasing the income of vanname shrimp farmers.
