The results of the analysis were then compared to the original English collocations to determine the accuracy of the translation.

The analysis of the data revealed that there were 218 English collocations found in the transcript of the movie subtitles "Ethel & Ernest". Of these, 179 (82.11%) were lexical collocations, while 39 (17.88%) were grammatical collocations. The results also showed that the most dominant translation procedure used was literal translation, which accounted for 85.77% of the total translations. Other procedures used included transposition (7.33%), equivalence (5.04%), and modulation (1.83%).
