Therefore, comprehensive efforts are necessary in disaster management, both during and after disasters occur, as well as in preparation for potential future disasters. Related institutions, such as the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), the Health Office, the Social Service, and the Indonesian National Police, play a crucial role in disaster management. Effective coordination between these related institutions is essential to ensure the effectiveness of disaster management.

The Importance of Coordination in Disaster Management

Coordination between related institutions is vital in disaster management to ensure that resources are allocated efficiently, information is shared effectively, and responses are timely and appropriate. In the context of Central Aceh Regency, coordination is particularly important due to the region's high risk of disasters. Research Methodology

This study employed an Explanatory Research approach to investigate the effect of coordination functions between related agencies on disaster management preparedness in Central Aceh Regency. The study used a population of 818 respondents and a sample of 117 respondents. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate tests, including linear regression analysis, correlation coefficient, and hypothesis testing.

Results

The results of this study showed that the coordination function in disaster management preparedness includes:

*** Delegation of Authority: Bivariate test results show that the delegation of authority has a significant influence (p = 0.001) on disaster management preparedness. *** Division of Tasks: Bivariate test results show that the division of tasks has a significant influence (p = 0.058) on disaster management preparedness. *** Planning Coordination: Bivariate test results show that planning coordination has a significant influence (p = 0.061) on disaster management preparedness. *** Setting the Use of Technology: Bivariate test results show that the regulation of technology use has a significant effect (p = 0.001) on disaster management preparedness. *** Coordination of Detailed Tasks: Bivariate test results show that the coordination of detailed tasks has a significant influence (p = 0.001) on disaster management preparedness.

Variables with a p-value < 0.25 were then used for multivariate tests. The multivariate test results showed that delegation of authority, regulation of technology use, and coordination of detailed tasks have a dominant influence on disaster management preparedness.

Recommendations

Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that coordination between related agencies be increased through:
