The population studied was all patients who were hospitalized at Mitra Sejati RSU Medan in May to June 2014, with a sample of 61 people. The analysis method used was multivariate analysis with multiple logistics regression.
Results
The results of the analysis show that there are several factors that influence patient satisfaction, namely the ability, responsiveness, guarantees, attention, and physical evidence. Of the five factors, attention (empathy) became the dominant variable that most influenced the patient's satisfaction at Mitra Sejati Hospital in Medan in 2014.
Discussion
The importance of attention in this health service shows that the empathy attitude of medical personnel can improve patient experience. Patients who feel cared for and understood will be more likely to feel satisfied with the services received. Therefore, Mitra Sejati Medan General Hospital is advised to improve the quality of services by prioritizing empathy from health workers to inpatients.

By paying attention to the factors that affect patient satisfaction, it is expected that Mitra Sejati Medan Hospital can continue to improve the quality of services provided, so that it can meet the needs of the community better. Increased patient satisfaction does not only have a positive impact on the image of the hospital, but can also increase the number of people's visits and trust in the health services provided.
