Introduction

Ergonomic organizational design is an essential factor in ensuring that nurses can work optimally and provide the best health services. This study aims to analyze the effect of organizational ergonomics on the work motivation of implementing nurses in the inpatient room of the TK II Putri Kesdam I/BB Medan Hospital.
Background
The healthcare industry is facing numerous challenges, including staff shortages, high turnover rates, and decreased job satisfaction among healthcare professionals. One of the key factors contributing to these challenges is the lack of a supportive work environment. Organizational ergonomics is a critical aspect of creating a comfortable, safe, and supportive work environment for nurses. It involves designing the physical and social work environment to meet the needs of nurses, thereby enhancing their work motivation and overall job satisfaction.
Methodology
This study uses the Explanatory Research method to analyze the influence of organizational ergonomics on the work motivation of implementing nurses. The research population includes all 128 implementing nurses in the inpatient room of the TK II Putri Kesdam I/BB Medan Hospital. A total of 56 nurses were chosen as samples using stratified random sampling techniques. Data is collected through a questionnaire containing demographic data, organizational ergonomics, and work motivation. Data analysis was carried out using Univariate and Bivariate Analysis (Chi Square), with a significance level of 0.05 or 95%.
Results
The results of this study showed that the career development variables (p = 0,000), reward and punishment (p = 0,000), and communication (p = 0,000) had a significant influence on the work motivation of the nurse. Conversely, the work shift variable (p = 0.927) does not show a significant effect. These findings suggest that organizational ergonomics have a positive influence on the work motivation of implementing nurses.
Discussion
The results of this study are consistent with previous research that highlights the importance of organizational ergonomics in enhancing work motivation among healthcare professionals. The findings suggest that career development opportunities, fair and transparent reward and punishment systems, and effective communication are critical factors in creating a supportive work environment for nurses. These factors are essential in motivating nurses to provide high-quality patient care and achieve organizational goals.
Recommendations
Based on the findings of this study, several recommendations are made for the management of TK II Putri Kesdam I/BB Medan Hospital to increase the work motivation of nurses. First, it is necessary to create a clear and structured career pattern planning program to provide professional development opportunities for nurses. Second, it is necessary to modify the application of the reward and punishment systems to be more fair and transparent, so as to motivate nurses to improve performance. Finally, building an effective communication system, both vertically and horizontally, is very important to create an open and supportive work environment, and increase the sense of ownership of nurses towards the organization.
Conclusion
Increasing the work motivation of nurses is very important to achieve organizational goals, namely providing quality and patient-centered health services. Organizational ergonomics become one of the important factors that need to be considered to create a comfortable, safe, and supportive work environment for nurses, so that they can work optimally and make the best contribution to TK II Putri Kesdam I/BB Medan Hospital.

This study has several limitations that need to be addressed in future research. First, the study only focuses on the inpatient room of the TK II Putri Kesdam I/BB Medan Hospital, and the findings may not be generalizable to other healthcare settings. Second, the study only examines the influence of organizational ergonomics on work motivation, and other factors such as job satisfaction and burnout may also be important to consider.
