The Influence of Attitudes, Social Environment, and Religious Values on the Lifestyle of Online Shopping Students in the Digitalization Era
Introduction
In the current era of digitalization, online shopping has become an integral part of daily life, especially among students. The rise of e-commerce platforms and social media has made it easier for students to access a wide range of products and services from the comfort of their own homes. However, this convenience has also raised concerns about the impact of online shopping on students' lifestyles and financial management. This study aims to analyze the influence of attitudes, social environment, and religious values on the lifestyle of online shopping students at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of North Sumatra.
Methodology
This study employed a quantitative approach with a questionnaire as the primary data collection instrument. A sample of 97 undergraduate students from the faculty was selected using proportional sampling techniques. Multiple linear regression techniques were used to analyze the data, and ethnographic studies were conducted in Chapter V to add depth to the analysis.
Results
The results of this study showed that attitudes, social environment, and religious values have a significant influence on the lifestyle of online shopping students. The analysis revealed that the three independent variables - attitudes, social environment, and religious values - simultaneously made a significant contribution to the dependent variable, namely the student's online shopping lifestyle. These findings confirm that psychological and socio-cultural factors play an important role in shaping online shopping behavior among students.
