The Effect Of Job Training And Company Facilities On Employee Career Development At The North Sumatra Agriculture Service
In today's highly competitive job market, employee career development is a crucial aspect that organizations cannot afford to overlook. The North Sumatra Agriculture Service, like many other companies, has been conducting studies to analyze the factors that contribute to employee career development. One such study aims to investigate the effect of job training and company facilities on employee career development. This study uses a quantitative approach and involves 178 employees who have participated in training, with 65 employees randomly chosen as research samples.
Research Methods
Data collection for this study was carried out through several methods, including questionnaires, document studies, and interviews. The data analysis was conducted using descriptive methods and multiple linear regression analysis, with a significance level of 5%. The results of the study showed that the F value of 201,720 was greater than the value of F table in the 5% alpha, which was only 3.14. This indicates that jointly, Job Training Variables (X1) and Work Facilities (X2) have a positive and significant influence on employee career development (Y).
Key Findings
The results of the study showed that the job training variable has a t count value of 3.059, which is higher than T table (1,669) at a significance level of 0.001. This indicates that work training significantly affects the development of employee careers. Similarly, the variable work facility with a value of t count of 5,296 shows a significant effect on employee career development. The study found that both job training and work facilities contribute positively to the career development of employees in the North Sumatra Agriculture Office. In total, both contributed 97% to career development, while the remaining 3% were influenced by other factors such as work discipline, compensation, promotion, and other factors that were not examined in this study.
The Importance of Job Training
Job training is a crucial aspect of employee career development. Quality training not only increases employee skills and knowledge but also increases job motivation and satisfaction, which in turn contributes to their career progress. When employees receive relevant training, they are better equipped to perform their jobs and are more likely to be promoted. This, in turn, leads to increased job satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment.
The Role of Company Facilities
Good facilities, such as comfortable workspaces and adequate work tools, also affect employee productivity. When employees feel supported by a good work environment, they tend to show better performance and are committed to developing careers in the company. A well-designed workspace can improve employee morale and reduce stress, leading to increased productivity and job satisfaction.
Implications for the North Sumatra Agriculture Service
The results of this study have significant implications for the North Sumatra Agriculture Service. To improve employee career development, more attention must be given to relevant training programs and improve work facilities. This will not only make employees feel valued but will also motivate them to contribute to organizational goals. By investing in job training and improving facilities, the North Sumatra Agriculture Service can create a work environment that supports employees and promotes their career development.
Conclusion
Overall, this research highlights the importance of job training and company facilities in supporting employee career development. Therefore, the management of the North Sumatra Agriculture Service and other companies is advised to continue to invest in training programs and improve facilities to create a work environment that supports employees. This will not only be beneficial for employees but also for the overall development of the organization.

Secondly, the study only examined the effect of job training and company facilities on employee career development, and did not consider other factors that may influence career development. Finally, the study only used a quantitative approach, which may not provide a comprehensive understanding of the issue.
Future Research Directions
Future research should aim to build on the findings of this study and explore other factors that influence employee career development. Some potential research directions include:
- Examining the effect of other factors, such as work discipline, compensation, and promotion, on employee career development.
- Investigating the impact of job training and company facilities on employee career development in different industries and organizations.
