Research Background and Significance

The halal label is a crucial aspect of food products, especially in countries with a significant Muslim population. This study aims to fill this knowledge gap by examining the effect of halal labels on the decision to purchase Samyang noodle products.

The Importance of Halal Labels

Halal labels are not just a requirement for food products; they also play a significant role in shaping consumer behavior. In Islam, the consumption of halal products is considered a fundamental aspect of faith. Consumers who prioritize halal products are more likely to choose products that have been certified as halal. The halal label provides a sense of security and confidence that the product has met the standards set by the authorized institution.

Research Methodology

This study involved 96 respondents selected using the Purposive Sampling method. This method was chosen so that the sample used was relevant to the research objectives. Data analysis was carried out by quantitative methods, which include validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumptions tests, and simple linear regression analysis. In addition, hypothesis testing was carried out through the t test and the analysis of the coefficient of determination (R² test).

Data Analysis

This equation shows that the decision to purchase Samyang noodle products can be influenced by the halal label of 34.3%. This figure confirms the importance of halal labels in consumer considerations when buying products. However, the remaining 65.7% of purchasing decisions are explained by other factors that are not examined in this study. These factors can include prices, flavors, packaging, and recommendations from friends or family.

Results and Discussion

The analysis of the coefficient of determination shows the value of R² of 0.343. This means that the decision to purchase Samyang noodle products can be influenced by the halal label of 34.3%. This figure confirms the importance of halal labels in consumer considerations when buying products. However, the remaining 65.7% of purchasing decisions are explained by other factors that are not examined in this study.
