In this context, the tapioca factory of PT. Hutahaean located in Laguboti District is a prime example of an industrial setting where the implementation of K3 is essential.

Research Purposes

This study aims to provide an overview of the knowledge, attitudes, and actions of labor in the application of K3 in the tapioca factory of PT. Hutahaean. The research design used is descriptive, with a population consisting of all 29 permanent workers in the factory, all of which are used as samples. The primary objective of this study is to assess the level of knowledge, attitudes, and actions of labor regarding the application of K3 in the factory.

Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that:

  • Most of the workforce, namely 28 people (96.6%), have good knowledge about the application of K3, while 1 person (3.4%) has sufficient knowledge.
  • The results indicate that the K3 education and training program implemented in the factory is effective in enhancing the knowledge of labor.

Labor Attitudes

  • All labor, namely 29 people (100%), show an attitude that supports the application of K3.
  • The positive attitude of labor towards K3 implementation is a crucial factor in ensuring the safety and health of workers in the factory.

Labor Action

  • For action, 26 people (89.7%) are in the good category, while 3 people (10.3%) are in the sufficient category.
  • Although the work of the labor is good, there are still 10.3% of the workforce that indicates actions in the category of sufficient, indicating the need for an increase in K3 implementation.

Analysis and Recommendations

The results showed that the knowledge and attitudes of the workforce about K3 were in a very good category. This indicates that the K3 education and training program that has been implemented in this factory is effective. However, even though the work of the labor is good, there are still 10.3% of the workforce that indicates actions in the category of sufficient. This shows the need for an increase in K3 implementation.

  • More stringent supervision of the K3 practice is applied so that all workers comply with the specified procedures.
