Gambir-sucrose adhesive was made with five different ratios of material: 100/0, 75/25, 50/50, 25/75, and 0/100. For the manufacture of boards, two ratios were used: 75/25 and 25/75, with a temperature of application of 200ºC.

The results of this study showed that gambier from Pakpak Bharat contains 78.50% catechins, which meets the standards of SNI 01-3391 ˗ 2000. The physical properties of the gambier-sucrose adhesive, such as density and solid levels, also meet the standards of JIS A-5908˗2003. However, the strength test results showed that the water content in the 50/50 ratio meets the standard, but the results of the water absorption, thickness development, and internal bonds tests do not meet the standards of JIS A-5908˗2003.
