Sampling was carried out every 20 days from 08.00 to 15.30 WIB, with three nets being deployed at each station. After the Gulamah fish were caught, the number of individual fish was calculated, and then measured length and body weight. An analysis was performed to determine the abundance, growth pattern, and fish conditions (FK). In addition, physical-chemical parameters were measured at each station, including temperature, depth, brightness, current velocity, pH, dissolved oxygen, and water salinity.

Results

The results of this study showed that the highest abundance of Gulamah fish was found at Station II, while the lowest was at Station I. However, overall, abundance in the three stations was still quite good. The growth pattern of male and female Gulam fish showed a negative allometric growth, meaning that the growth of the length and weight of the fish was unbalanced, with the length of the fish increasing slower than its weight. The condition of the Gulamah fish, measured morphologically, showed that these fish were in a good condition with sufficient fuss. This is an important indicator that the habitat in the waters of the Gading Karang Wildlife Reserve provides an environment that supports the growth and health of fish.
