One group that is particularly vulnerable to an unhealthy lifestyle is students. The COVID-19 pandemic has further exacerbated this issue, with students adopting less active habits and unhealthy eating patterns.

The Importance of Healthy Living Community Movement (Germas)

The Healthy Living Community Movement (Germas) is a preventive effort that can be implemented to reduce the risk factors of PTM/degenerative diseases. Germas involves physical activity, consumption of fruits and vegetables, and regular health checks. By applying these principles, individuals can significantly reduce their risk of developing degenerative diseases.

Research Objectives and Methodology

This study aims to analyze the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of students and the application of Germas as an effort to prevent degenerative diseases at SMAN 1 Tanjungbalai. The research is a quantitative study with an analytical survey research type using the cross-sectional method. The study population consists of 824 people from 24 classes, with a research sample of 90 students selected using the Simple Random Sampling technique.

Data Collection and Analysis

Data collection was carried out through interviews using a questionnaire. The data analysis uses univariate and bivariate analysis with the Chi Square test, with the results described in the frequency distribution table.
