The proxymatic test results revealed that 250 grams of the head of the Gulamah fish contained 33.4% protein, while the head and innards of the oil kasai fish contained 42.4% and 15.3% protein, respectively. With a minimum protein requirement for chicken layer feed of 16%, this study demonstrated that in one year, waste from Gulamah fish can produce around 2,619.4 kg of protein, while oil kasai fish waste can supply 3,385.8 kg of protein and kasai oil offal provides 593.2 kg of protein. The total protein produced from fisheries waste in Deli Serdang Regency is sufficient to meet the protein needs for around 9,414 layers.
