Mother's Behavior in the Application of Household PHBS in Klumpang Kebon Village, Hamparan Perak District

Introduction

The application of clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) in the household is an increasingly important issue, especially in Klumpang Kebon Village, Hamparan Perak District. One of the factors that influence the application of PHBS is the behavior of mothers as household managers. This study aims to identify mothers' behavior in applying PHBS in their household environment. In society, an understanding of the benefits and risks faced by the lack of implementation of PHBS is still low, which can have a negative impact on family health.

The Importance of PHBS in Household Environment

PHBS is a concept that refers to healthy living habits that must be applied in daily households. This includes various aspects, such as environmental cleanliness, sanitation, and healthy eating patterns. The application of PHBS not only affects individual health, but is also very important for family health as a whole. In the context of Klumpang Kebon Village, the mother's behavior in applying PHBS is very influential on the lifestyle of the family around her.

Mothers' Behavior in Applying PHBS

Based on research conducted by quantitative descriptive methods, involving 67 respondents who are housewives in the village of Klumpang Kebon, obtained quite encouraging results. As many as 82.1% of mothers have good knowledge about PHBS, followed by 94.0% which shows a positive attitude towards the application of PHBS, and 89.6% of them have implemented PHBS well in their households. These numbers indicate that although positive understanding and attitude already exists, optimal application still needs to be maintained and improved.

The Role of Mothers in Implementing PHBS

A positive attitude possessed by the majority of housewives is a good capital to improve public health. However, it needs to be observed that good knowledge is not enough. Educational and counseling efforts from health or professional cadres are very important to support better PHBS implementation. Especially for families who may not yet practice it optimally. Continuous health education can help increase awareness of the importance of PHBS and minimize health risks that can arise.

The Need for Support and Training

With proper support and training, it is hoped that all housewives in Klumpang Kebon Village can implement PHBS to the maximum, so as to be able to create a healthy environment and improve their quality of life. This effort must be supported by all levels of society and related parties, to ensure that every household understands and applies a healthy living behavior for a better future.

Conclusion

Through this research, it is expected to be the basis for programs to increase public health awareness, while providing a clear picture of the position of the mother in the application of PHBS. The success of this program will contribute directly to improving the degree of public health and reducing the number of diseases that can be prevented.
