Introduction
The city of Medan, located in the province of North Sumatra, Indonesia, is a hub of youth activity and development. In this study, we aim to explore the relationship between HMI cadre ideology and leadership development among youth in the city of Medan.
Methodology
This study employed a descriptive analysis with a quantitative approach to examine the relationship between HMI cadre ideology and leadership development among youth in Medan. A questionnaire was distributed to 98 members of the Medan Branch HMI, and data analysis was carried out using the SPSS version 17.0 program.
Results
The results of this study showed a significant and positive relationship between the ideology of HMI cadres and youth development in the city of Medan. The value of t count was 6.214, which is greater than T table 1.66, and the significance value was 0.000, which is less than 0.05. This indicates that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (ha) is accepted.
Furthermore, the ideology of HMI cadres also showed a positive and significant relationship in the development of youth leadership in the city of Medan, with a t value of 6.291 and the same significance value, which was 0.000. This confirms that the ideology held by HMI cadres played an important role in the development of leadership among youth.
