Understanding the Importance of Waste Management in Rural Communities

Many residents litter, both in their yards and on public roads, rivers, drainage channels, and other public places. The practice of burning garbage is also still carried out, which is caused by a lack of understanding of the dangers of these activities. On the other hand, even though the village government has run a monthly mutual cooperation program to maintain cleanliness, this effort has not yet achieved maximum results. One of the main factors that hinder this effort is the lack of cleaning facilities and infrastructure, such as adequate barrels or garbage bins.
