From the various formulas tested, soap with the highest exfolian concentration, which is 7% (F3), provides the best effectiveness of skin care. Observations showed an increase in water content by 32.92%, an increase in skin smoothness by 25.86%, narrowing of pores by 25.82%, reduction of skin stains by 21.10%, and decreased wrinkles by 45.84%. All of these soap formulas also meet Indonesian national standards, with 5% moisture content, total fat 77%, insoluble material in ethanol 2.32%, alkaline free 0.08%, fat that is not taboo 0.4%, and chloride content 0.8%.
Conclusion
From this study, it can be concluded that a solid soap that contains the exfolian of jackfruit leaf simplicia with a concentration of 7% shows the best effectiveness of skin care. In addition, this solid soap has also met the quality standards set by the Indonesian National Standards. Thus, jackfruit leaves can be a useful natural alternative in making skin care products.
Recommendations
Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that jackfruit leaf simplicia powder can be used as a natural exfolian in solid soap preparation. The optimal concentration of jackfruit leaf simplicia powder that can be used in solid soap preparation is 7%. The study also recommends that further research be conducted to evaluate the long-term effects of using jackfruit leaf simplicia powder in solid soap preparation.
