Tanjung Morawa Subdistrict, Deli Serdang Regency, is a suburban area of Medan that still relies on the agricultural sector as a source of the main livelihoods of its people. The agricultural sector plays a vital role in the economy of the region, and its productivity and welfare are crucial for the well-being of the community. To increase the productivity and welfare of farmers, the role of agricultural extension is very important. Agricultural extension is a crucial component of the agricultural sector, as it provides farmers with the necessary knowledge, skills, and support to improve their productivity and competitiveness.

The context refers to the socio-economic and cultural conditions of the community, as well as the potential and problems of agriculture in Tanjung Morawa District. The data collection method was carried out with census techniques, namely by interviewing all farmer group leaders in Tanjung Morawa District, totaling 20 people. The data obtained were then analyzed by the scoring method, by giving questions to the heads of farmer groups to assess the performance of counseling based on four indicators, namely:

The results showed that the performance of agricultural extension in Tanjung Morawa District was in the category ** good **, with an average percentage of achievement reaching 95.66%. This shows that agricultural extension in this region has been successful in implementing the program and achieving the expected results.

Suggestions for Improvement

However, this research also found several ** Suggestions ** that need to be considered to improve the performance of agricultural extension in the future. Including:
