The sample used in this study consisted of 80 class V students, divided into two groups. Group I accepts counseling through poster media, while group II uses film media. The influence of these two types of counseling on food safety behavior is analyzed using paired T tests and non -paired T tests, with a 95% confidence level. This study employed a quasi-experimental design, which is a type of experimental design that involves manipulating one or more independent variables to observe their effect on a dependent variable.

The results showed a significant increase (p = 0,000) in food safety behavior in both groups after receiving counseling. However, research also found that nutrition counseling using film media is more effective than poster media in improving food safety behavior among elementary school students.
