Introduction

Methodology
This study was conducted at the Food Crops and Horticultural Research Center for the Department of Agriculture of Food Crops and Horticulture of North Sumatra Level I, from May to August 2000. The study used a random group design (RAK) with two treatment factors. The first factor was the administration of EM-4 with four levels, namely:
- EO: 0 cc/1 liter of water (control)
- E1: 4 cc/1 liter of water
- E2: 8 cc/1 liter of water
- E3: 12 cc/1 liter of water
The second factor was the administration of Green Giant NPK fertilizer with three levels, namely:
- GO: 0 grams/polybag (control)
- G1: 50 grams/polybags
- G2: 100 grams/polybags
