The Role of Medical Students in Preventing and Handling Hypertension

As a prospective health worker, medical students have an important role in efforts to prevent and handle hypertension. However, how are their knowledge about this disease? To find out the picture, a study was conducted on 2019 stambuk students at the Faculty of Medicine, University of North Sumatra.

Research Results: Enough Knowledge, but Not Optimal

The study involving 245 students showed interesting results. As many as 28.2% of students have good knowledge about hypertension, 51.4% have sufficient knowledge, and 20.4% have less knowledge. That is, overall, student knowledge about hypertension can be categorized as "enough", but there is still room for improvement.
