The study uses a census method to determine respondents and analyzes various financial aspects, including cash flow, BEP, NPV, B/C, ROI, and IRR.

The PE goat business has been growing rapidly in East Deli Serdang Regency, with many farmers engaging in the cultivation of these animals. However, the business forms used by farmers vary, and there is a need to identify the most profitable and efficient models. This study aims to fill this gap by conducting a comparative analysis of PE goat business forms based on financial aspects.

Methodology

This study uses a census method to determine respondents, which involves collecting data from all farmers in the East Deli Serdang Regency who engage in the PE goat business. The analysis used includes cash flow, BEP, NPV, B/C, ROI, and IRR. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and direct interviews with breeders.

Questionnaire and Data Collection

The questionnaire used includes the characteristics of breeders and questions that are relevant to the objectives and research needs. This research was conducted in June 2017. The questionnaire was designed to collect data on the business forms used by farmers, including independent business, group, and CV. The data collected was then analyzed using various financial aspects, including cash flow, BEP, NPV, B/C, ROI, and IRR.

Results

The results of this study show that the majority of PE goat maintenance techniques in the Biru-Biru District and Patumbak used an intensive maintenance system. Independent breeders tend to sell goat milk up to 20%, this is due to the lack of assistance and public awareness of the importance of new innovations in animal husbandry.

In terms of business form, there are three models that are worth considering, namely independent business, group, and CV. The CV business form is proven to be more profitable when viewed from financial analysis, with NPV of 423,277,776.97, B/C 4,507, ROI 371.79, IRR 95.8, and BEP 789,296,875.

Discussion

The results of this study indicate that the form of CV business has a great potential for the development of the PE goat business in East Deli Serdang Regency. This is because the CV model is able to maximize resources, minimize risk, and increase efficiency in business management.

The development of PE goat business in East Deli Serdang Regency has great potential to provide economic benefits for farmers and the surrounding community. However, there are several things that need to be considered in developing the PE goat business in East Deli Serdang Regency:

Increasing the capacity of breeders: Training and assistance programs are needed to increase the knowledge and skills of farmers in the cultivation of PE goats, especially in terms of intensive maintenance, milk processing techniques, and marketing strategies.

Capital access support: Ease of access to capital through the people's business credit program or other financing schemes can encourage farmers to develop their business better.

Marketing Improvement: Marketing of Go Goat Products needs to be increased through various strategies, such as the development of local markets, the development of processed products, and promotion through social media.

Cooperation between farmers: The development of PE goat business can be maximized through the formation of farmer groups, cooperatives, or CVs that can facilitate access to information, resources, and markets.

Based on the findings of this study, the following recommendations are made:
