Introduction

The minimum inhibition concentration (KPM) for extracts with prextraction is 0.1 mg/ml (8.23 mm) and for extracts without prextraction is 0.2 mg/ml (8.26 mm). Extracts with praextraction also show effectiveness at a concentration of 200 mg/ml (14.50 mm).

Conclusion

This study shows that nutmeg seed ethanol extract with the prextraction method has the potential as a natural antibacterial to control the growth of streptococcus mutans. These results open up opportunities for the development of safe and effective dental seeds based on nutmeg seeds in preventing and overcoming dental caries.
