Introduction

North Sumatra, as one of the centers of rice production in Indonesia, plays a vital role in maintaining national food security. Increasing Farmers' Skills

Vocational training and education programs that focus on developing skills and knowledge in agriculture need to be improved. Counseling and consultation programs involving experts and practitioners can also help improve the quality and knowledge of farmers.

Increasing Access to Input

The government needs to ensure the availability and easy access to production inputs such as fertilizers, pesticides, and irrigation water. Subsidized policies and target credit programs can help farmers in gaining access to the input they need.

Conclusion

By paying attention to the factors that have been explained, it is expected that rice production in North Sumatra can increase significantly and contribute to national food security. This research provides important information that can be the basis for stakeholders in formulating policies and strategies to develop the agricultural sector in North Sumatra.
